We are looking for creative nonfiction that use strong, experimental language to tell a story. Your work should have a clear writing style, understandable plot points, unique angles, and an interesting story overall. Here’s a thing to remember: Prose works often resemble poetry because of their beautiful, meaningful language and storytelling. Incorporate these elements into your prose work.

Guidelines:

  • You must be a Pitt State student. 
  • Do not include your name in the submission or file name.
  • We do not accept fan art in any genre.
  • Submit one essay up to 6,000 words or three essays up to 1,000 words (each as a separate      submissions).
